Former South Lafourche pitcher Josh Pierce was absolutely dominant on Saturday, helping the Southland Hogs to another win.
Pierce throw a 5-inning no-hitter on Saturday, helping lead the Hogs Blue 18U team to an 11-0 win over the Lafayette Braves.
Pierce was lights out throughout the game, overpowering hitters and keeping them off balance.
Pierce needed just 63 pitches in the outing, throwing 47 strikes. He struck out 9 batters and issued 0 walks. Pierce’s game would have been a perfect game if not for 2 hit batters during the outing.
Pierce was a dominant ace for a South Lafourche team that made deep runs in the State Playoffs. He now pitches for Delgado and is fresh off his true freshman season.
