Let it be known: If someone from Louisiana enters into a drinking contest, they’re going to win and they’re going to win decisively and without any doubt.

LSU fans in Omaha have shattered the College World Series record at Rocco’s annual Jello Shot Competition and they have done so in just 4 days. LSU has now consumed more than 21,000 jello shots, easily pushing past Ole Miss’s record of 18,000 jello shots a few years ago.

The College World Series is 4 days old. If LSU continues to win, they will be in Omaha for upwards of 10 days, meaning there’s a chance that the record will not only be broken, but will be completely splattered.

The next closest team on the totem pole is Wake Forest, which has a fan base that has consumed 5,572 jello shots. LSU fans have now consumed more jello shots than all 7 other fan bases combined during the World Series.

And baby, we’re just getting started.
