Step up in class?

No problem.

The jalapeño continues to kick ass, take names and climb up the ranks in professional boxing.

Golden Meadow native Vik Hernandez improved to 8-0 on Sunday night, scoring a knockout win over Ira Terry.

Terry was by far the best opponent that Hernandez had faced to date in his career with a 28-28 record coming into the fight.

But Hernandez quickly overwhelmed Terry and attacked with flurries, doing big damage before scoring the knockout.

Hernandez is unbeaten in 8 bouts. He has 7 knockouts. He has been extremely active this year. Since June, Hernandez has fought 5 times, continuing to grow his profile and build his name in the sport. His trainer says that Hernandez has the ability to be great. The goal is to continue to climb the ladder before taking a high profile fight.

Sunday’s bout was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Hernandez plans to next fight in early November in a show in Miami.
