At the Thibodaux Thanksgiving Tournament, local teams were swept on Wednesday with Southside beating Central Lafourche, Denham Springs beating Thibodaux and Port Allen beating Ellender.

The best game of the day was Southside’s win over Central Lafourche with the Sharks scoring a 54-50 win. Trojans senior guard Evan Griffin was incredible again on Wednesday, scoring a game-high 37 points to nearly power the Trojans to the win. Southside led throughout, but the Trojans chipped away and had several chances late to either tie or take the lead, but could not break through.

At the White Castle Tournament, Morgan City stumbled and lost a non-district game, falling 49-36 to Dutchtown.

And at the Pearl River Tournament, South Terrebonne fell to the host, losing 55-50.
