Add another feather in the cap of Houma Christian School 8th grade sensation Briley Lovell’s cap – a cap which is quickly running out of place for new feathers.
The standout pitched a perfect game tonight for the Warriors in their 15-0 run-rule win over H.L. Bourgeois – another dominant performance for one of the top players in our area.
Lovell worked the perfect game with 5 strikeouts. When not in the circle, she was hitting the long ball. Lovell was one of three Warriors to also hit a home run in the win.
The Warriors are one of the top teams in our area – a team that is one the shortlist of teams expected to contend for the Division III Select crown.
They made the LHSAA State Semifinals last year with Lovell pitching as a 7th grader. This year, she and the team are already rolling, owning a 5-1 record with several wins over Class 4A or Class 5A opponents.
