Don’t count out the 2024 LSU baseball team just yet.
Left for dead earlier in the SEC schedule, the Tigers have gotten hot and have won now 3-straight SEC series, including this weekend’s series with No. 1 Texas A&M.
LSU is 6-2 in their previous 8 SEC games and they have improved their conference record to 9-14 in the SEC, while pushing to 31-17 on the year.
Coming into the weekend, LSU was considered a ‘Bubble Team’ by most NCAA Tournament prognosticators.
But after taking down the Aggies, it’s very likely that if the NCAA Tournament started today that the Tigers would be in. LSU also has a favorable schedule coming home.
The Tigers will face Alabama and Ole Miss to close out SEC play. Both of those teams are in the bottom-half of the SEC standings.
LSU will attempt to sweep the Aggies tomorrow.
