The LSU football team has added a talented punter via the NCAA’s transfer portal.
Louisiana Tech punter Blake Ochsendorf announced today that he has transferred to LSU, giving the Tigers one of the top punters in the country and arguably the top punter in the portal.
Ochsendorf was rock solid last season for Tech, posting a 45.7-yard average on 53 punts with a long of 70. He will replace graduated senior Jay Bramblett, who punted 26 times last season with a 40.9-yard average.
Ochsendorf stands 6-foot, 6-inches and weighs 220 pounds. He is a senior.
He is likely to be the Tigers’ starting punter in the fall.
