Houma native Gavin Dugas is headed to the Washington Nationals’ High-A Affiliate after a red-hot start to the season.
Dugas was called up to the High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks this week after a dominant start to the season at Single-A Fredericksburg.
Dugas was dominant in A-Ball, hitting .340 with 3 home runs and 20 RBIs with 7 stolen bases.
Dugas was 35-of-103 at the plate with a .962 OPS. He had 10 doubles to go with his 3 home runs.
Dugas, 24, is an infielder with the Nationals organization. The Houma Christian School graduate was a 6th Round Pick in the 2024 MLB Draft.
