Terrebonne High School has selected its new head baseball coach.

Multiple sources have confirmed to By-U Sports in recent days that the Tigers have tabbed Julio Archila as their next head coach, replacing Todd Martin who left the Tigers to take the same job at Central Lafourche, his alma mater.

Archila has been active on the baseball scene, both as a former player, but also as a coach at the youth levels. On the prep level, he was the head coach at Central Catholic and also an assistant coach at Vandebilt Catholic.

His job will be to take a Terrebonne program to the next level in a brutally tough Division I non-select. The Tigers have had talented teams in recent years, but have not been able to break through and make the playoffs because of how tough the competition is in that classification.

The Tigers were 11-19 this past season. The Tigers did have some good wins, beating Assumption, Vandebilt, Thibodaux amongst others. But the team could not consistently play at a high level, ending their season losing 7 of their final 9 games, going from the playoff bubble to well outside of the Top 24 in Division I Non-Select.
