A local AAU basketball team cruised this weekend, winning a prestigious tournament title in Atlanta.
Ball Hard Elite’s 16U team rolled through the competition, posting a 5-0 record to take home the tournament title at the Best of the South Exposure Tournament in Hot-lanta.
The boys took a pair of games on Championship Sunday, outlasting Pro One Select 42-41 in a nailbiter to advance to the Championship Game.
While there, the local boys beat the Southern Elite Stars 55-43 to take home the tournament title, polishing off a 5-0 week for the group, which is comprised of high school student-athletes from around the area.
Ball Hard Elite’s 16U team is coached by Drew Caillouet and Jacob Allen. The group has been together the past few seasons and has enjoyed big success, winning several tournament titles and competing favorably at all of the events they’ve played.
