Lockport Middle School announced it will have two new basketball coaches for the upcoming 2024-2025 seasons.

Athletic Director Jacob Allen confirmed to By-U Sports that Lindsey Savoie Duke will lead the girls’ program and Ryan Naquin will take over the boys in the upcoming seasons.

Duke was a former Lockport Middle School standout when she played. She also has coached at youth levels and said she is excited to continue that coaching career at Lockport for a girls team that has been highly competitive in recent years.

For Naquin, he’s fresh out of high school, but he has coached AAU basketball during the summers and also has become a volunteer coach for the football team this fall. Naquin was a successful multi-sport athlete for both Raceland Middle and Central Lafourche.

“I think both will do great,” Allen said.

PUBLISHER’s NOTE: Good choices! Congratulations to both!
