According to Stan Gravois, a former coach and local sports enthusiast who now works for the Terrebonne General Community Sports Institute, this is the first time in the history of high school football in the parish that Terrebonne schools go 6-0 on a Friday night.

Gravois said he also went back and did the research and even with H.L. Bourgeois’ Thursday night loss to Ascension Catholic, a 6-1 week is the highest win percentage for Terrebonne Parish high schools in a week.

The local teams did it against some quality competition in many cases.

Terrebonne beat Riverside Academy, which was a Superdome team last year. CCA is a 1-A school who beat a 3-A school. Vandebilt beat a hot Central Lafourche tema and most of the local teams won by multiple scores.

What a way to start off the season By-U Strong!
