This week’s Terry L. Hunter III Foundation Defensive Player of the Week is a standout ball hawk for a Vandebilt team that continues to do big work, posting a huge night on Friday in a win over South Lafourche.
TERRY L. HUNTER III FOUNDATION DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Rob Sandolph, Vandebilt Catholic – Sandolph is an awesome story. He’s one heck of a play maker and running back. But the Terriers have one of the best running backs in the state of Louisiana in Jaylon Coleman, so coach Brian Wallace approached Sandolph about a move to defensive back this offseason and he’s thrived. Against the Tarpons, Sandolph logged 2 interceptions, including an interception returned for a touchdown, and he nearly had more picks in the game with several more pass break-ups. He was absolutely lights out for a Terriers team that is now 5-1. Congratulations, Rob! Way to be a team player!
