Well Happy Birthday, Jaylon Coleman.
On the Vandebilt Catholic High School standout’s 18th birthday, he celebrated the accomplishment and achievement of a lifetime with a signing ceremony on campus to recognize his commitment to Liberty.
Coleman signed with Liberty on Signing Day and had a celebration of the occasion on Monday, honoring the amazing work the young man has put in to get to this point.
Coleman is one of the most decorated student-athletes in the history of Vandebilt Catholic High School.
He was a 4-year starter on the football field, breaking the school’s record for rushing yards. He also was accomplished in basketball and track, serving as multi-year letter winners in both sports and also serving as a locker room leader.
Coleman is signing with Liberty after having offers from several prominent programs around the country. The explosive running back was dominant in high school and figures to have a future at the next level as either a running back or maybe even a slot receiver because of his elusiveness and breakaway speed.
Coleman said he chose Liberty because he felt at home around the school’s coaches and on the campus. He said he wanted to thank everyone at Vandebilt for their support during his prep career, saying that no matter where college brings him, he will forever be a Terrier.
