An Assumption High School senior standout with a knack for keeping the ball off the floor has signing to continue her career at Nicholls.
Senior standout Ava Pennison signed with the Nicholls volleyball team this week, continuing her playing career at the collegiate level.
Pennison is a multi-year letter winner for the Mustangs and one of the top players in our area. She was a libero for a team that made playoff pushes throughout her career with the team.
Pennison will be signing with a program on a rebuild. The Colonels were 7-20 last season under second-year head coach Jonea Rima.
The Colonels were very young last season and had a roster predominantly filled with freshmen and sophomores. Pennison will add to that mix at the next level.
