Arguably the best player in the history of the Nicholls State University football team is going to become an assistant coach at a FCS program.

Former Nicholls quarterback Chase Fourcade announced on social media today that he has become the Quarterbacks Coach at the University of Central Arkansas, giving him a collegiate coaching home.

Fourcade was a 4-year starter at Nicholls who enjoyed immense on-field success.

He spent time volunteering as a coach after graduation, then went on and became an assistant coach at St James High School.

With Central Arkansas, Fourcade will be trying to work his magic with a FCS program that has historically had success.

The Bears were 6-6 last season but have made the playoffs 7 times since 2000.

  1. This is great! As a Thibodaux native and Nicholls State graduate, I am thrilled to have another Nicholls alum here in Conway. Good luck, Coach Fourcade 🏈
