A CCA senior receiver who was a force for the Lions’ dominant football season is headed to his collegiate home.
Lions senior Jabari Carter made it official today, signing with the University of Arkansas-Monticello, honoring the pledge he made to the school this past summer.
Carter was a lights out playmaker on both sides of the ball for CCA this season, making several big catches on offense as a receiver, but also big plays on the defensive side as a ball-hawking defensive back and an explosive kicker returner.
Carter is a 5-foot, 10-inch, 171-pound speedster who has had success throughout his career.
He started his prep career at Ellender, then transferred to CCA where he was a huge piece on a team that made a deep playoff run.
At UAM, Carter will be joining a program filled with locals. UAM coach Hud Jackson is from the area and keeps local talent close by when he can.
