Three members of the Vandebilt Catholic football team signed their National Letters of Intent today to continue their careers at the next level.
Vandebilt’s Cole St. Pierre and Rob Sandolph both signed today to continue their playing careers at Louisiana Christian University, while Sean Hebert signed to play at Nicholls.
Terriers coach Brian Wallace said he was proud of all three boys for making their mark on the program, adding that they all were special to the team last season.
Those players will join halfback Jaylon Coleman who signed with Liberty in the early signing period in December.
”I am honored to see these young men sign today to further their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level,” he said. “Proud is an understatement.”
St. Pierre was a running back last season playing with Coleman. He made several big runs and was a contributor to the team. St. Pierre is a 5-8, 170-pound back who has 4.6 speed. He will look to make an impact right away at Louisiana Christian
For Sandolph, he, too, was in a loaded Terriers’ backfield, but he made a move to defensive back in his senior season to see more playing time. Sandolph is a 5-8, 165-pound defensive back who had several big games with takeaways for the Terriers, using his 4.49 speed to make plays and disrupt offenses. Sandolph had several offers and chose Louisiana Christian due to the bond he made with the coaching staff.
And for Hebert, he lands with the Colonels after a solid career as a kicker with the Terriers. Hebert was a touchback specialist on kickoffs and a weapon to make field goals. With Nicholls, he is expected to compete to be a kickoff specialist who could grow into becoming the Colonels’ every day kicker.
