A decorated volleyball coach is leaving our area to take a new position outside of the Bayou Region.
Vandebilt coach Latashia Wise-Jackson was introduced today as the head volleyball coach at St. Michael, ending her multi-year reign with the Terriers
With Vandebilt, Wise-Jackson’s teams had success, making several deep playoff runs and competing as one of the top programs in the state.
“Coach Jackson brings a wealth of experience, passion and a strong tradition of success to our program and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Warrior family,” a statement from St. Michael reads.
Prior to her time at Vandebilt, Wise-Jackson was an assistant coach at Dominican High School where she contributed to 2 state championships. She also was the head coach at Central Catholic, leading the team to a state runner-up and several state semifinalist finishes in her time with the school.
