The Vandebilt Catholic Terriers sit 1 win away from their first State Championship since 2010 after a dominant win at the LHSAA Girls’ Basketball Top 28.

The Terriers beat Parkview Baptist 63-47 on Wednesday in a game that wasn’t even that close, punching a ticket to the Finals where they will face either No. 1 University Lab or No. 5 Madison Prep.

The Terriers were in control throughout, rolling to a double-digit lead and never looking back, cruising to a lopsided win against the No. 3 seed in the State of Louisiana.

Tyanna Stewart led the Terriers with 21 points. But it was strength in numbers that helped the team to the win. The Terriers also got 11 points and 7 rebounds from Makayla Charles, 10 from Journee Johnson, 9 from Makensie Charles and 6 each from Tyrian Johnson and Maddie Dufrene in the win.

Vandebilt shot 46% from the field in the win, limiting Parkview Baptist to just 34% shooting.
