Another full and busy week of action across the full sports spectrum has led us to another week of handing out Gengatorz Power Players of the Week.
Let’s get to it. This week, we honor a standout pitcher and a track athlete scoring points for her team.
GENGATORZ BOYS’ POWER PLAYER OF THE WEEK: South Terrebonne pitcher Brayden Clement – Clement got another win on the mound today, but he earns Power Player of the Week for his work last week in a run-rule win against Berwick. The Belhaven signee pitched a one-hitter and dominated the game, throwing hard and hitting his spots to push the Gators past a team that is a regular to make it to Sulphur. Clement is a good one and is a guy who gives the Gators a chance every time he takes the ball.
GENGATORZ GIRLS’ POWER PLAYER OF THE WEEK: South Lafourche track standout Caroline Hymel – Hymel continues to be a point getter for South Lafourche, while also being one of the top pole vaulters in the area. At the Tarpon Relays last week, Hymel won first in the pole vault again, while also placing well in the distance runs for a Lady Tarpons team that continues to win meets and continues to do big things in the early stages of the season.
