One of our area’s top track and field athletes has announced her collegiate home.
South Lafourche senior shot putter Ava Boura announced today that she has committed to McNeese, giving the Cowboys one of the top throwers in the state.
Boura has been a dominant force in the shot this season for South Lafourche, routinely taking gold in the event, while even breaking the all-time school record. Boura is one of the top throwers in the state and will be a contender at the state meet in Class 4A.
She chose McNeese after getting offers from several programs around the area. When she got the offer, she said she was blessed and grateful to be receiving collegiate interest.
So proud of her, she has worked so hard for this.
