GENGATORZ GIRLS POWER PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Vandebilt freshman Aleiya Callais – Callais is making a big mark on the Terriers in just her freshman season. In a playoff game this past week, she logged 3 hits and was a beast on the bases, putting pressure on the defense and making big plays for a Vandebilt team that is going to Sulphur this weekend with eyes on winning their 2nd-straight Division II Select State Championship. The team will next play on Friday afternoon against No. 4 Buckeye.
GENGATORZ BOYS POWER PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Vandebilt senior Seth Hebert – The Vandebilt baseball team is going to the Quarterfinals in Division II Select after a strong showing this weekend against The Willow School, taking a 2-game sweep. Senior Seth Hebert has been one of the leaders for this year’s Terriers’ team – both on and off the field. Hebert is a steady glove at short for Vandebilt, but is also a guy who handles the bat well and executes whatever is called by the coaching staff.
