South Terrebonne’s annual Strike Out Cancer Game was a Grand Slam Home Run in 2025.
Gators coach Mike Barba presented a check for $6,146 to the Terrebonne General Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center – the proceeds from this year’s game.
The Gators hold an annual Strike Out Cancer Game, always a Saturday home game.
The game has become one of the best of the year locally – so much so that local teams even call the Gators and ask to take part in the game to try and be part of something special.
Over the history of the game, the Gators have been able to give back thousands of dollars to Terrebonne General.
Barba gets emotional when talking about the impact the game has had, noting how cancer has impacted his life, but also the lives of so many of his players, coaches and members of the South Terrebonne family.
