E.D. White isn’t done yet.
The Cardinals beat Teurlings Catholic 4-3 on Friday in a thriller, evening the Championship Series in Division II Select.
With the game tied at 3, Owen Porche walked if off, lacing an RBI base hit to right which plated Jax Triche and ended the game.
The vibe was different for E.D. White the entire game Friday. Down and out for most of Thursday before an eventual 11-1 run-rule loss, E.D. White competed from the jump Friday, getting a run in the first and second innings to go up 2-0 right out of the gate.
Pitcher Owen Blanchard got into some pickles, but he was good when he needed to be working 5.1 innings and leaving the game tied at 3 before turning the ball over to Grant Barbera.
Barbera got out of a jam in the 7th, which set the stage for the Cardinals in the 7th who got a base hit from Triche, then a clean bunt from Evan Arcement before Barbera was hit by a pitch.
Teurlings went to reliever Lincoln Guillory and on his first pitch, Porche hammered it to right, plating the game-winning run.
