Nicholls is keeping arguably our area’s top prep basketball senior home.
Vandebilt senior Jordan Matthew’s committed to Nicholls tonight, ending a recruitment that featured offers from several programs around the southeast and beyond.
Matthews as the All-Region Player of the Year and a two-time District MVP. He averaged close to 30 ppg last year for the Terriers and was a dominant scorer.
He joins a Colonels team that could use him right away. The Colonels lost a lot of pieces in the portal and will have some minutes to hand out.
Matthews is a gym rat who has worked hard to earn everything he’s achieved.
He said he committed with the Colonels to stay close to home and to try and help the local school make the NCAA Tournament.
