Central Lafourche will have a new girls’ basketball coach in the 2025-2026 season.
Coach Tora Danos confirmed to By-U Sports tonight that she has resigned from her position to take a new job outside of the Lafourche Parish School System. Danos is going to become a Special Education Teacher at Destrehan next year.
Danos was hired in April 2022. She led the team to the playoffs in her tenure, ending a long drought for the program.
The Trojans were young last season and battled adversity, struggling to a 4-17 record.
But Danos’ teams were prone for playing hard and getting better throughout the season – something that they consistently did throughout her tenure.
A search to hire a new coach will begin shortly for the Trojans.
Danos said she wanted to thank those who supported her during her time with the Trojans.
Don’t blame her, the pay in St.Charles Parish is way better than Lafourche.
