A Thibodaux High School slugger has announced his collegiate destination.

Standout senior Hunter Guillot announced on social media that he has signed to continue his career at Shawnee Community College, giving him a spot at the next level.

Guillot was a multi-year starter at Thibodaux who was one of the meat of the order hitters for a team that made it to the Division I Non-Select State Playoffs last season.

Tigers’ Coach Shane Trosclair said he could not be happier for Guillot who he said was one of the locker room leaders of the team this past season.

“He’s an All-American human being,” Trosclair said. “For our family, he’s like one of our own. He’s great friends with Brody and he’s grown up with our boys and we’re close friends with our family. … He’s put in the work and he’s got a great attitude. We think he’s going to go there and really have a lot of success.”
