A local AAU girls’ basketball team is coming home with the gold!
The South Lafourche Flash AAU Basketball Team’s 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball Team took home the tournament title this weekend at the 2025 Nationals Tune Up Tournament presented by Louisiana Hoops.
The ladies survived a hard-fought Semifinals win against a team that had some new additions for bracket play. In the finals, the Flash rolled and had no drama, dominating the Louisiana Hoops 37-12 to roll to the tournament title.
The ladies have had an awesome summer, competing favorably at several events. They finished this weekend 3-1.
The team is comprised of players from the Bayou Region.
