Thibodaux native Kyren Lacy is no longer here in the flesh after his tragic suicide earlier this year in Houston.

But the former Thibodaux and LSU Tiger will be with his teammates in Baton Rouge in spirit in the 2025 football season.

The LSU football team held its 2025 Media Day today and Lacy was there in spirit with several players choosing to take photos honoring the former Tigers’ wide receiver.

LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the members of the LSU wide receivers room all posed for a photo with a picture of Lacy in the arms of the receivers. Aaron Anderson and Zavion Thomas also took time during Media Day to take photos with different pieces of art work honoring Lacy, who played for LSU for 3 seasons, breaking out in the final 2, posting 16 touchdowns in the past two seasons.

Several members of the team were close with Lacy off the field and the LSU football team came to Thibodaux for the standout receiver’s funeral earlier this spring.
