A slick-fielding Vandebilt senior has made his collegiate choice.
Terriers shortstop Seth Hebert announced on social media that he has committed to Southeast Arkansas College – giving him his spot for his collegiate future.
Hebert was an outstanding defensive shortstop for the Terriers who also handled the bat very well. He makes the routine plays at short with ease and also makes difficult plays look routine with his ability to field. He handles the bat well and is a solid contact hitter who also can lay down a bunt if necessary to have a quality at-bat.
Hebert is the second local player today to commit to Southeast Arkansas, joining Terrebonne standout Landon English who committed earlier today.
Both boys will be looking for early playing time at the JUCO to then jump to a 4-year school.
Hebert said he is excited for his chance to continue to compete. The Terriers senior suffered a season-ending jaw injury in the playoffs that could have ended his playing career. To be able to overcome that and find a spot at the next level with a solid summer is something that he said is a blessing.
”Thank you to my parents who have made sacrifices for me, all my coaches who have pushed me and the relationships I’ve made along the way,” he said.
