Happy Birthday, Journee Johnson!
On the day that the Terriers’ standout senior grew one year older, she got maybe her biggest scholarship offer to date.
Johnson announced yesterday that she got an offer from Tulane – adding to a list of offers that is growing larger in quantity, but also in size of the conference.
Johnson is a 6-foot guard/forward with skills. She can score from all 3 layers and is athletic enough to guard every position. She is a ball handler for Vandebilt, but also a paint weapon who scores on the inside, when needed.
Johnson has been getting offers since her sophomore season, but this list is seemingly growing by the day, including Nicholls, UL-Lafayette, Denver, George Washington, Southern Miss and others.
The Terriers standout was a big piece of a State Championship team last spring, but she also earns a lot of her accolades with her play on the summer AAU circuit, showing her versatility and ability to impact a game in so many different ways.
