A South Terrebonne softball infielder has found her collegiate home.
Gators senior Rylie Arceneaux announced on social media today that she is committing to Louisiana Christian University, giving her the spot at the next level that she has coveted her whole life.
Arceneaux has an awesome junior season both for South Terrebonne and also on the travel circuit, putting her on the radar of schools at the next level. She got the offer from Louisiana Christian this week and opted to make her pledge, saying that she loves everything about the opportunity that the Wildcats offer.
“This may seem like a quick decision, but it was also the easiest of my life,” she said. “There is no better way to describe LC than ‘home.’ I can say with entire confidence that this is where I feel I belong and this is what God has planned for me.”
Arceneaux is a middle infielder for the Gators who has both a hot bat and glove. She said that she owes thanks to so many as she announces her collegiate commitment. She was a top of the order player for South Terrebonne last season who has been solid throughout her career.
She said she will be working hard between now and the spring to get ready so that she can make a splash in 2026 in her senior season with the team.
“First and foremost, I want to thank God for the doors he has opened and the strength he continues to give me,” she said. “None of this would be possible without his guidance. I also want to thank my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has believed in me, pushed me, and supported me through the highs and lows. This game has given me so much. Countless lessons, endless memories, and friendships that I’ll carry with me forever. I’m so grateful I am getting the opportunity to continue doing what I love the most for 4 more years.”
