The CCA boys’ basketball team has hired a local athletic Hall of Famer to work with its boys’ basketball team.
Boys’ Basketball Head Coach Troy Jackson confirmed to By-U Sports today that he has hired Ernest Brown Sr. to be the team’s assistant coach.
Brown was a standout local high school basketball player who enjoyed a prosperous career at LSU. Upon the end of his playing days, Brown returned home and has been a highly successful championship-winning coach at multiple programs in the Houma-Thibodaux area.
He also has spent time in recent years staying involved as a local official, referring games throughout the entire Bayou Region.
Jackson said getting Brown to work with the team is a big get, and he adds to a star-studded coaching roster at CCA.
The Lions have arguably the deepest pool of coaches in the entire Bayou Region with elite staffs across their entire athletic calendar. Brown adds to that coaching depth.
