The Nicholls State University baseball team is taking their show on the road to try and promote their brand to the area.
The Colonels will play a Fall Ball game on October 9 at Southland Field – the home field of CCA.
The game will take place at 6 p.m. and admission will be free to the public.
The Colonels are trying to expand their reach into the community under coach Brent Haring, who is approaching his second season.
This is one of what could be multiple fall ball play dates for the Colonels on local high school playing fields as the team hopes to continue to build its relationship with the community.
Nicholls had several local players in 2025 and that has been a staple of the program – something Haring wants to continue. One of the team’s 2025 signees, Mason Canter, played his prep ball at CCA on Southland Field.
