A local travel volleyball team is ready to strut their stuff in Orlando with some of the top teams in the country.

12U Accelerate Volleyball is set to depart for Florida this week to begin competition at Nationals in Orlando.

The local travel team is comprised of young volleyball players in the Bayou Region – mostly girls who play for LCO, Golden Meadow and Lockport Middle Schools.

The team started their journey in January and have been relentless, competing all over the state with success.

In their last competition, the team won the Crescent City Clash held at John Curtis. In the course of the past 6 months, the team has traveled to compete in Lafayette, Hammond, Baton Rouge and Mississippi.

Accelerate Volleyball is a relatively new, upstart travel organization that is enjoying success.

The team is hoping to continue to grow in the coming years.
