St. Charles Catholic beat Vandebilt Catholic 21-3 on Friday night in Houma, handing the Terriers a home loss in Week 10.
The Comets entered the night 8-1 and 4-0 in district and left with another win. Vandebilt drops to 5-5 after the setback.
St. Charles stayed in control after building the lead, and Vandebilt’s offense never got rolling in front of the home crowd. The Comets limited the Terriers to a field goal and kept the district race looking the same on their side of the standings.
For Vandebilt, the loss snaps what had been a competitive stretch and leaves the Terriers at .500 with the regular season nearly done. By-U Sports will keep tabs on both programs as playoff positioning settles across the region.
