Houma Christian closed its regular season with a 41-7 road loss at Fisher on Saturday morning in Lafitte.

The Gators led 7-0 after one quarter before the Warriors answered in the second, and Fisher took a 14-7 lead into halftime. Fisher took over after the break, scoring 13 points in the third quarter and 14 more in the fourth, and the Warriors were held scoreless over the final two quarters.

Houma Christian finishes the regular season 2-8. The Warriors’ two wins included a 55-32 victory at Gueydan on Oct. 23, but they closed with back-to-back losses after a 51-0 setback at Covenant Christian last week.

For Fisher, the win snapped a six-game losing streak and lifted the Gators to 3-7.

The Houma Christian campus still has plenty to cheer about this week. The Warriors’ volleyball team is headed to the Cajundome in Lafayette for the Division IV quarterfinals after upsetting No. 7 Loyola Prep on Friday.
