LSU wasted no time making history. The ninth-ranked Tigers opened the 2026-27 season Monday night by beating Southeastern Louisiana 129-35 at the PMAC, a 94-point margin that is the largest win in program history.
Sophomore ZaKiyah Johnson led the way with a career-high 33 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double. MiLaysia Fulwiley, making just the fifth start of her career, added 20 points and six steals, while Mikaylah Williams scored 19 and knocked down five 3-pointers. Six Tigers reached double figures.
The game was over early. LSU scored 69 points in the first half, the most in a first half in school history, while the Lions didn’t make their second field goal until the middle of the second quarter. LSU forced 38 turnovers and piled up 45 second-chance points off 31 offensive rebounds.
The 129 points are the third-most ever scored by an LSU team, and the win topped the old record margin of 89 points.
