Berwick wasted little time getting into the win column in the Division III state playoffs. The ninth-seeded Panthers swept No. 24 Breaux Bridge 3-0 at home Wednesday in the bi-district round.
The Panthers put together a sharp, complete match and never let the Tigers settle in. Breaux Bridge finishes 7-19.
Berwick improves to 20-14 and advances to face Madison Prep Academy in the regional round. Madison Prep opened with a 3-0 win over GEO Next Generation and brings a 30-11 record into the matchup, so the Panthers will have to be ready for a step up in competition.

A win there would put Berwick one victory from the state tournament in Lafayette. By-U Sports will have more on the Panthers’ playoff path ahead.
